Hi, Many places still don’t have clean water. There is plenty of water, but making it clean needs some pretty cleaver processing. You need to consider chemicals and microbes. Hope this helps.

There is an increasing concern about clean water and food as our population grows and even now there are places with no clean water what so ever! There is a small risk of places with clean water to run out of it. Countries maintain water through different processes and we understand enough about water-borne bacteria to be able to filter or kill them when we are purifying our water.

Yes. Not everybody in the world has clean water now – infections from germs in the water are a big killer.

We can easily purify salt water from the sea in the West if we want to but this takes a lot of energy. It is easier to use fresh water and filter/treat it as it takes less energy and time.

Access to fresh drinking water is still a luxury really. Many parts of the world struggle to find water to drink each day.

As Global Warming bites, and this effects rainfall, fresh water may become a resource which is more scarce than at present which may trigger tension especially in areas which already lack access to fresh water.
