• Question: Will anti-biotics one day be unable to defeat a bacteria?

      Yes – some bacteria already can’t be defeated, like TDR-TB or multiply resistant gonorrhoea.

      Many bacteria already exist which cannotbe killed by our current crop of antibiotics. Fortunately, they are mostly found only in hospitals and there spread seems to be fairly well controlled by most health services. If we continue to misuse antibiotics these kind of bugs may become more common inside and outside of hospital potentially infecting and killing a lot more people.
