Because they have different amounts of melanin in their skin.

Melanin is a pigment or chemical, in your skin which it makes to protect itself from sunlight, it’s why you get darker when you sit out in the sun for a long time. The amount of melanin in your skin is also determined by your parents, you share their DNA and how much melanin in their skin determines how much melanin that’s in your skin.
