Many! There are the scientists that look for new ways to inhibit or kill microbes and those that will assess any toxic effects to the host. You have the clinical evaluations that will test efficacy and safety in animals/patient groups. You have the commercial sector that will produce antibiotics. Sales/marketing teams will try to promote the antibiotics. Clinicians who will use and monitor use of antibiotics.

It depends what you mean If you mean people who solely work with antibiotics and nothing else, you’re probably thinking research scientists, infectious disease doctors, some academics.

However, there are a multitude of jobs where antibiotics are involved. Almost all microbiology involves antibiotics, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, public health officials, politicians, health service managers all have to deal with information about antibiotics and there are probably many more…

So many jobs relate to antibiotics. pharmacologists, doctors, nurses etc. That’s just in the medical profession, you can also look at companies that develop them, so chemists, microbiologists, Biologists, haematologists etc. So many!! It’s just about how you want to be involved more than anything.

Lots and lots and lots! Almost everyone who works in jobs related to medicine will use antibiotics at times. Scientists like us research antibiotics. Scientists, politicians and campaigners work out policies on the best way to use antibiotics and avoid resistance.
