If you are curious about how something works, or why something is the way it is, then first you come up with a theory – you suggest a possible explanation. Then you design an experiment to test your theory. This is science!
Sometimes experiments don’t work. Or the answer is not very clear. So, you try again! Sometimes your experiment does work, and you get a really clear answer. This is my favourite part of science, when you have asked a question, performed an experiment – and discovered something new.
