• Question: What came fist the chicken or the egg

      A thing which was very nearly a chicken laid an egg which hatched into a chicken.

      Egg. Dinosaurs laid eggs way before chickens even evolved!!

      Eggs did indeed exist well before chickens.

      If we rephrase the question to “what came first a chicken or a chicken egg?” then something that was similar but not quite the same as a chicken laid an egg that would eventually hatch into a chicken. Therefore, the chicken egg would come before the chicken. However, the newly hatched chicken would have to find another fresh chicken to breed with to preserve their chickeniness!
