      Yes. There are lots of poisonous mushrooms. There are also some fungi which can grow on humans and cause disease, often in the lungs.

      There are many kinds of fungi that can kill you. Aspergillus is one of the most common dangerous fungi, especially to people with bad immune systems. It often infects their lungs. Fungi are also much harded to treat as fungus cells are quite similar to human cells. The drugs we use are much more toxic and have significant side effects making people quite ill them selves.

      There are also many mushrooms which can kill you if you eat them even though they look alot like the mushrooms you put in your lasagna!
