It took me longer because I had to do some of it part time. But if I had done it full time, then it would have been three years for my first degree, then one year for my second degree.
I hope to eventually get a PhD by publishing lots of papers from my work, but that won’t be for several years yet.
I went to primary school aged 4 and left aged 11 (7 years)
I went to secondary school aged 11 and left aged 18 (7 years)
I went to University of Bath aged 18 and left aged 22 (4 years)
I started a PhD at University of Nottinghama aged 22 and I am now 25 (3 years).
So, from birth to the present day, 21 years of study!
Hi, I have been studying from School days and still study now (but not for any formal qualifications). In science our knowledge changes all the time, so you have to keep reading what others are doing to keep pace with the field, so never stop studying 🙂
Once I left school I did a Masters degree in Biochemistry which took 4 years and I’m in the third year of my PhD. So 6 years have passed since I started university!
