I don’t work on discovering new antibiotics – I make existing antibiotics work better and avoid resistance. The team I work in saves lives every week in our hospital – I am extremely proud of that!

I research the immune system – how our bodies can fight bacteria even without antibiotics! The work I do is one tiny part of all of the science research that is done all around the world! On my own, my research will not change anyone’s life – but if you take my research and add it to all the rest, then hopefully we will change lots of peoples lives 🙂

Hi, afraid I have not discovered any antibiotics myself, but have evaluated many microbes with ranges of antibiotics so that I can advise medical staff which they should use to treat a patient so they will get better.

I aam trying to discover new antibiotics. We have a range of molecules that look promising, however, it would take many years of development before they could be sold as drugs.
