      It depends on the type of apocalypse, if it was being caused by a disease, it could be possible. If it was being caused by the sun expanding to engulf the earth, probably not…

      Depends on what sort of apocalypse. They would be very useful, but the most important thing is likely to be food, drinkable water, and shelter.
