  Antibiotics should be effective if you take all the pills prescribed to you by a doctor. You shouldn’t take them regularly however, they should only be used when you are really ill, otherwise bacteria can develop something called resistance to the antibiotics. This means that the antibiotics will no longer work against your illness and the doctor will have a harder time trying to treat you.
